Kursen ger dig en introduktion i centrala frågeställningar, begrepp och teoribildningar inom den politiska filosofin. De frågor som behandlas rör bland annat statsmaktens legitimitet, hur staten bör styras, vilken uppgift den bör ha och var gränserna för dess makt bör gå. Fokus sätts därigenom på begrepp som demokrati, jämlikhet, frihet och rättvisa. Utöver föreläsningar och litteraturstudier får du möjlighet att analysera och diskutera de teoretiska resonemang som presenteras, bland annat genom att koppla dem till aktuella samhällsfenomen såsom klimatförändring och migration.
