I kursen uppmärksammas politiska förhållanden och statsvetenskapliga perspektiv och du tränas i att analysera politik och samhällsfrågor. Den inledande kursen inriktas på politisk teori med tonvikt på demokratins principer och problem. Därefter ges en temakurs inriktad på förvaltningspolitik i en bred bemärkelse. En metodkurs förbereder sedan för ett avslutande självständigt arbete som tränar förmågan att formulera och analysera ett statsvetenskapligt problem.
