Overview
Kursen syftar till att som musikproducent kunna kommunicera med musiker, ha förståelse för samt på grundläggande nivå självständigt kunna använda de vanligaste instrumenten inom populärmusik i sitt skapande. I kursen ingår instrumentkännedom om trummor, bas, gitarr och keyboard, både gällande funktion och konstruktion samt praktiskt användande. Genom instudering, lyssnande och praktiska uppgifter övar studenten sin förståelse för instrumentens musikaliska möjligheter och uttryckssätt. Genom musicerande i grupp och gehörsbaserad instudering av musik inom pop, rock och närliggande genrer övas förståelse för samspel, olika musikstilars karaktärsdrag och hur olika typer av groove och musikaliska uttryck inom populärmusik skapas.
