Kursen betonar teman som kulturarv och kulturella livsmönster, såsom turism, trender och livsstilar, utifrån etnologiska och folkloristiska metoder, begrepp och aktuella forskningsfält. Den behandlar såväl svenska som internationella förhållanden. Under kursen belyses också ämnets vetenskapshistoria och hur samtida etnologisk och folkloristisk forskning kan tillämpas i arbetslivet. **Distanskursens upplägg:** Kursen använder Uppsala universitets lärplattform Studium och videokonferensverktyget Zoom. Undervisningen består av föreläsningar via videolänk samt chatt. Lärarstöd sker via e-post, diskussionsforum, chattar, etc. Kursen har inga fysiska träffar.
