Overview
<p>How has the concept changed over time, which informatics tools do we have to ensure that personal data are kept secure, and why is it so important to do so? In this course, we discuss everything from the legal handling of privacy to its exploitation in so-called “dark patterns”. The students also get to practice applying potential privacy and security solutions, such as “privacy by design” and Privacy and Information Security Management Systems (PIMS).</p>

Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree (equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen) within the fields of informatics or computer science or the equivalent. A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as English course 6 / English course B (or the equivalent). This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e g IELTS or TOEFL.
