Process Improvement for Sustainable Development

In this course, you will learn how processes can be used to work with sustainable development in various businesses, where organisations can be considered process-based systems. To make the work practical, we operationalise sustainability based on the most important global sustainability effects based on Agenda 2030 and Planetary Boundaries. The focus will be on the most important effects in the value chain your chosen organisation is in. All value is created in processes, regardless of whether they are identified or not. By identifying and visualising current processes, conditions for more effective sustainability work are created. Process-based system models are used to visualise and measure value creation in all types of operations. You work with understanding, defining and measuring sustainability, as well as with identifying sustainable opportunities for improvement. **Outline for distance course:** The course is completely web-based and the teaching is based on a learning management system. Access to a computer with speakers, microphone, camera and internet connection is required to follow the course.
