Avlagd grundlärarexamen, ämneslärarexamen, yrkeslärarexamen, förskollärarexamen eller motsvarande äldre examen. För specialisering mot intellektuell funktionsnedsättning krävs någon av ovan angivna lärarexamina eller motsvarande äldre examen, enligt förordning (2022:1621) om ändring av behörighet och legitimation för lärare och förskollärare (2011:326) med följande precisering: \- sådan lärarexamen eller förskollärarexamen som krävs för behörighet att undervisa i anpassad grundskola, anpassad gymnasieskola samt kommunal vuxenutbildning som anpassad utbildning på grundläggande nivå respektive gymnasial nivå, eller \- sådan lärarexamen som krävs för behörighet att undervisa som lärare i specialskolan, eller \- sådan lärarexamen eller förskollärarexamen som krävs för behörighet att som speciallärare få bedriva undervisning som avser särskilt stöd i grundskolan, gymnasieskolan samt motsvarande skolformer. Svenska 3 och Engelska 6, eller motsvarande.
