Overview
Kursen genomförs som ett självständigt forskningsprojekt eller undersökning inom en akademisk miljö. Studenten har under kursens gång möjlighet att både fördjupa och bredda sin kunskap inom molekylärbiologi samt att tillämpa den kunskap som studenten tillägnat sig under sin utbildning.Studenten ges möjlighet att utveckla sin förmåga att självständigt genomföra och rapportera ett omfattande projekt. Arbetet genomförs med vetenskaplig metod och innefattar forskningskomponenter. Studenten medverkar i projektplanering och utförande av arbetet samt dokumenterar och rapporterar de erhållna resultaten skriftligt och muntligt.

20 ECTS from finished courses in Chemistry, including at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry, or alternatively, 20 ECTS from a combination of finished courses in Chemistry and Physics and/or Mathematics, including at least 5 ECTS in Biochemistry; 45 ECTS from finished courses in Biology, including Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, and Physiology; practical experience of laboratory work corresponding to a minimum of 15 ECTS. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2.
