Overview
You can choose between applying for a 5 ECTS or 2.5 ECTS course in this subject. The difference is that in the 5 ECTS course the theory is applied in a project work. Grid regulations, network codes and grid requirements are an important part of the planning and operation of the power system. With new regulations, more actors in the power system must be aware of and implement them, for example when connecting production and energy storage. The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge of grid regulations, network codes and grid requirements for various actors in the power system, to provide an understanding of the background to the various requirements and the connection to maintaining a stable power system. Topics included in the course are: - review of requirements and regulations for power production, energy storage, direct current transmission, distribution networks and consumption aimed at ensuring the stability of the power system. - review of the operation of the power system and the different system operating states that the power system may be within. - review of the limits that apply to operational safety with respect to frequency, voltage and load flows, as well as design fault events that must be taken into account. - review of the process for verification of compliance with requirements, both for new connections and modernizations, as well as of the various actors in the power system. - link the requirements to the stability of the power system and evaluate the requirements that may be necessary in different future scenarios for the power system. SCHEDULE The course includes three lecture days and one seminar:<br> There is the option to participate on site or digitally and the lectures will also be recorded. We recommend participating on site if possible as there is a great potential for exchange of experiences between course participants. **Industry and academy** This course has been developed in collaboration with industry partners within the framework of one of our educational projects. The project aims to provide courses at advanced level to a mix of professionals and students to strengthen the Swedish industry's competitiveness. We apply a validation of work experience, which means we can assess your competence based on both formal credentials and work experience. Even if you don't have formal qualifications, such as grades or diplomas, you may have the knowledge that meets the eligibility requirements for the course. To enable us to validate, attach your resume under the "Qualifications" tab on antagning.se or in our local application form when you apply.
