Research Project in Information Systems

During this course the students will deepen their knowledge and abilities in Information Systems. An important part of system design is to identify the whole width of problems that are involved in the design for a real world implementation. Based on such an analysis, the students will derive a sequence of more detailed sub-problems that can be treated by means of tools and mechanisms that the students are already familiar with. The students will then implement solutions to those problems, evaluate them in a real system or in a simulator and evaluate performance of proposed solutions. The student can chose to study half-time for the whole semester (20 weeks), or full-time half of the semester (10 weeks). The course includes project work. Each student (or student group) will be given a specific problem to be solved. Specific requests can be communicated to the teachers before the course starts. It is possible to choose to do a project work within EU Reg Tech (regulation of technology, data protection and markets) and follow the master course in Law, RVAE01, but be examined within ISAE06. RVAE01 runs full-time the last 10 weeks of the autumn semester.
