Overview
This course reflects on how different methods of resilience thinking can be applied to social-ecological systems. Differences and similarities between resilience and other approaches to social-ecological systems is discussed from a number of case studies. The student will apply resilience thinking and other approaches on a case study to analyze the strengths and weaknesses with resilience thinking. Course period: March - May.

Entry requirements
For admission to the course, knowledge is required equivalent to Social-ecological systems: challenges and approaches, 15 credits (BL7028) and Systems theory and resilience thinking, 15 credits (BL8049) and Governance and management in social-ecological systems 15 credits (BL8050). English 6 or equivalent.
