Overview
Kursens fokus är på vetenskapliga metoder som används vid studier av kliniska effekter och användning av läkemedel. Olika aspekter som tas upp relaterar till studiedesign, utfallsmått, möjliga felkällor och datakällor. Kursen omfattar både kvantitativa (observations- såväl som interventionsstudier) och kvalitativa forskningsmetoder. I kursen ingår även grunderna i hälsoekonomi och hälsoekonomisk utvärdering samt hälsobegreppet, folkhälsovetenskap, evidensbaserad vård, forskningsetik och grunderna i statistisk analys. En orientering kring internationella läkemedelsfrågor ingår också.

Introduktionskurs i farmaci 5 hp, Statistik för farmaceuter 3 hp, Farmaceutisk kemi 15 hp, Biomedicinsk vetenskap I 14,5 hp, Biomedicinsk vetenskap II 22,5 hp, Farmakologi för farmaceuter 15 hp, samt genomgångna kurser i Läkemedelskemi för farmaceuter 4,5 hp, Galenisk farmaci 10,5 hp, Farmakokinetik 6 hp och Farmakoterapi 13,5 hp eller motsvarande kunskaper.
