Kursen behandlar forskningsmetodik samt perspektiv på och teorier om sociala strukturer, processer och problem. Inom ramen för kursen studeras vetenskapsteoretiska ansatser, forskningsmetoder och forskningsetiska aspekter som en grund för genomförandet av ett uppsatsarbete. Kursen innehåller: * vetenskapliga perspektiv på och teorier om sociala problem och processer * vetenskapliga metoder i socialt arbete * forskningsetik i socialt arbete * sociala kategoriseringar som genus, klass, ålder och etnicitet * inkludering- och exkluderingsprocesser samt avvikande beteende.
