<p>Kursen behandlar bestämningsfaktorer för och effekter av ojämlikheter på människors hälsa under olika livsfaser och på olika sociala nivåer. Vidare behandlar kursen relationer mellan social klass, kön, etnicitet, ålder och individers objektiva hälsotillstånd samt deras subjektiva välbefinnande. Särskild uppmärksamhet ägnas åt migration och otrygghet på arbetsmarknaden, förhållanden som ger upphov till ytterligare hälsorisker. Dessutom begreppsliggörs och utforskas kontexten i mötet mellan individen och hälsoinstitutioner. En reflexiv socialpsykologisk syn på hälsofrämjande strategier och praxis behandlas i kursen.</p>
