<p>Kursen belyser centrala globala folkhälsoutmaningar och internationella folkhälsomål samt behandlar hur folkhälsomål kommer till uttryck i det svenska internationella utvecklingssamarbetet. Kursen innefattar även diskussion och kritisk granskning av globaliseringens påverkan på folkhälsan. Ett utmärkande drag för kursen är att folkhälsa sätts i en samhällelig och politisk kontext. En överskådlig bild av några centrala svenska myndigheters organisation inom det folkhälsopolitiska området presenteras. Vidare belyses folkhälsopolitiken i Sverige och dess politiska styrning samt vad policyer betyder för folkhälsofrågor.</p>
