I kursen får studenten utveckla sitt låtskrivande i grupp utifrån uppdragsbaserade moment. Kursen behandlar text- och musikskrivande inom givna genrer samt identifiering av rytmisk och strukturell uppbyggnad av olika melodier och texter. Vidare analyseras och diskuteras musikproduktioner inom populärmusik. Undervisningen i kursen sker främst genom föreläsningar, seminarier, diskussioner och praktiska moment individuellt och i grupp.
