Overview
In the course, oral and written language skills in Spanish are developed, while the student's reading and listening comprehension is improved. Furthermore, the course aims to provide an overview of the geography, history, current societal conditions, literature, and cultural life of Spanish-speaking countries. Please note: This course is taught in Spanish, with some elements in Swedish. The course 1SP100 (freestanding) is taken together with students enrolled in the first semester of Spanish within the SKK (Language, Culture, and Communication) and SPIK (Language and Politics) programs. All modules may be combined with their equivalent distance-learning courses, including examination formats, if the number of students in each sub-course of 1SP100 is ten or fewer at the start of the course. Information about this will be provided at the introductory meeting at the beginning of the semester and published on Moodle.
