Overview
Kursen syftar till att ge kunskap om och förmåga att självständigt analysera fysisk planering utifrån olika typer av konsekvensutredningar. Fysisk planering har en rumslig dimension och dessa hanteras som geografiska utmaningar med sociala, etiska och naturanknutna aspekter. Kursens centrala begrepp är fysisk planering, plats, landskap, kultur, natur, hållbarhet, konflikter, konsekvensutredningar och makt. Utifrån dessa begrepp utforskas och förmedlas kunskap om villkoren för fysisk planering från ett antal platser. Geografiska begrepp och processer är kopplade till rumsliga kontexter och kursen ger tillfällen till fördjupade kunskaper om specifika case, geografiska förhållanden och begrepp på ett genomgripande sätt. Fysisk planering inbegriper vägandet av olika intressen; mark- luft- och vattenresurser, risker, konflikter, jämlikhet, samhällsplanering, boende, transporter och demokratiska värden.

Entry requirements
För tillträde till kursen krävs 30 hp i huvudområdet geografi. Studerande med likvärdig utbildning kan efter prövning beredas tillträde till kursen.
