The course provides an introduction to statistical modeling and analysis of spatially structured data and images. Emphasis is placed on stochastic models for discretely and continuously indexed random fields, as well as spatial point processes. Model-based inference methods are studied with applications to spatial prediction, pattern analysis, and computational imaging.
