Overview
I kursen introduceras dels det specialpedagogiska fältet med inriktning mot grundlärarens uppdrag, dels hur specialpedagogisk verksamhet regleras och styrs. Centrala värdegrundsfrågor inom specialpedagogik granskas kritiskt med hjälp av aktuella perspektiv och begrepp, som till exempel normalitet/avvikelse, inkludering, differentiering och en skola för alla. I kursen diskuteras frågor om elever i behov av extra anpassningar och särskilt stöd. Särskilt belyses betydelsen av utformning och organisering av pedagogiska, social och fysisk lärmiljö. Vidare uppmärksammas barns och ungas delaktighet samt samverkan med föräldrar/vårdnadshavare och andra verksamheter relaterat till det specialpedagogiska uppdraget. Kunskapsområdet problematiseras med teoretisk förankring i specialpedagogiska perspektiv och begrepp.
