I kursen får studenten fördjupa sina kunskaper i andraspråk som forskningsfält med betoning på didaktiskt inriktad forskning. Kursen ger en översikt av centrala teorier inom andraspråksforskningen. Studenten får också träna sin förmåga att reflektera kring olika teoriers tillämplighet i relation till specifika forskningsfrågor. Aktuell didaktisk forskning granskas och diskuteras utifrån teoretiska perspektiv. Studenten genomför en läromedelsanalys utifrån ett didaktiskt perspektiv.
