Overview
This course provides a foundation in concepts relating to sports medicine, equipping future coaches with skills and knowledge to prevent, respond to and promote effective rehabilitation for a selection of common sport-related injuries. Students will learn about methods of how to assess and deliver basic first aid for acute injuries. Students will develop an understanding of the specific needs and progress of an athlete’s recovery to effectively integrate prehabilitation and rehabilitation processes into training programmes, ensuring a balance between promoting healing, minimizing re-injury risk and maintaining athletic performance.
