Overview
Introduktion av såväl grundläggande som moderna koncept inom statistisk inlärning i form av articifiella neurala nätverk (djup inlärning), med tillämpningar i statistisk dataanalys. Begrepp som behandlas i kursen inkluderar feedforward-nätverk, regularisering och optimering av nätverk med många lager, faltningsnätverk, rekurrenta nätverk och valideringsmetoder. Vidare ges matematisk statistiska tolkningar av nätverk, såsom icke-linjär regression med olika länkfunktioner för responsvariabeln. Kursen innehåller också vissa av följande ämnen; autoencoders, representationsinlärning, djupliggande generativa metoder, samt informationsteoretiska koncept inom djup inlärning.

To qualify for the course, knowledge equivalent to Probability Theory II, 7,5 hp (MT5002), Statistical Inference Theory, 7,5 hp (MT5003), Programming Techniques for Mathematicians, 7,5 hp (DA2004), and English B/English 6, is required.
