Kursen behandlar skriftlig och visuell kommunikation ur både teoretiska och praktiska perspektiv och hur teori och praktik kan samverka med varandra. Vidare behandlas hur kommunikation kan drivas för att möta behov, uppnå specifika mål och påverka en mottagares beslut. I kursen ingår olika begrepp inom kommunikation som exempelvis målgruppsanpassning, kommunikationskanal samt innehållsproduktion. I kursen behandlas även frågor om etiska aspekter kring hur kommunikation kan nyttjas och vilken påverkan den kan ha på omgivningen.
