<p>Why do some strategies succeed while others fail? And how can strategic thinking both solve problems and create new ones? In this course, you will explore strategic thinking from a range of perspectives. </p><p>The course provides a broad introduction to the history and development of strategy. You will become familiar with key thinkers and theories while learning how to apply strategic concepts and analytical tools to real-life situations.</p><p>The course examines why strategic thinking is so highly valued, what makes it difficult, and what consequences strategic decisions can have. You will engage with ideas and theories from business, military history, biology, game theory, communication, and disinformation. By comparing how strategies are used across different fields, you will gain new ways of understanding and analyzing complex challenges in society. </p><p>Whether you are interested in leadership, communication, politics, social issues, or decision-making, this course offers valuable insights into strategy in both theory and practice.</p>
