Kursen utvecklar studenternas förståelse för företagets roll och ansvar i samhället. Kursen fokuserar särskilt på följande tre områden: 1) de komplexa hållbarhetsutmaningar samhället står inför, 2) relaterade etiska reflektioner och ställningstaganden och 3) de många sätt på vilka företag kan och redan jobbar med hållbarhetsfrågor. Viktiga perspektiv rör ledarskap och strategi, som ingångar för att förstå hur de tre områdena samspelar, samtidigt som kursen behandlar begrepp, teorier och strategier vanligt förekommande i hållbart företagande.
