Overview
Many elements of our daily life are controlled by software. This software may be complex, yet must be reliable, efficient, should not cost more than planned, etc. This basic Software Engineering course is about how software – and systems which partially consist of software – should be developed in a systematic way. The course is the next step after programming language courses and deals with questions such as: how one can develop complex software? Which methods exist to be used in a development project? In addition to a theoretic part that deals with methods, tools and languages that support software development, students will develop a software project in a smaller group.
