Teaching and learning in the globalised university

<p>During the course, current issues about globalization in higher education are discussed and problematized. Based on research on globalization in higher education, opportunities and challenges are addressed. Furthermore, how globalization and internationalization are conceptualized and contextualized in research is problematized. The course also connects to critical perspectives on higher education as a geopolitical context, in research often characterized by a limited Western perspective. In this context, decolonization of education and implications for teaching and learning are discussed. Globalization also connects to issues of diversity, the multilingual university, and widened participation as dimensions of higher education. During the course, the opportunity is given to focus on specific issues of relevance to globalization in higher education, from a micro, meso or macro perspective.</p> <p>The course is net-based and delivered remotely.</p>
