Overview
I kursen kommer den samtida segregationen i Sverige att studeras och diskuteras utifrån ett historiskt och internationellt, komparativt perspektiv. Kursen kommer att behandla olika dimensioner av segregation och de arenor där segregationen förekommer, så som boendet, arbetsmarknaden och skolan. Segregationens bakomliggande orsaker, mönster och dess konsekvenser för individer och samhället i stort kommer att diskuteras utifrån olika disciplinära perspektiv och teoretiska ansatser. Uppmärksamhet kommer också ges åt insatser och interventioner som syftar till att minska och motverka segregationen nationellt, regionalt och lokalt.
