<p>Infektionsepidemiologi handlar om hur samhället och vården kan skaffa sig information om förekomsten av smittsamma sjukdomar i befolkningen, hur pågående smittspridning kan hejdas och hur smittspridning kan förebyggas. Kursen ger kunskap om smittsamma sjukdomars spridningsegenskaper, om verktyg för övervakning av sjukdomarnas förekomst, och hur hälsoarbetare verksamma inom smittskydd och vårdhygien behöver arbeta för att skydda befolkningen mot smittsamma sjukdomar. Du kommer under kursen att bekanta dig med olika statistiska och matematiska modeller för att analysera smittspridning. Dessa kunskaper och förmågor är av särskilt värde för yrkesverksamma inom smittskydd och vårdhygien.</p>
