Kursen ges inom ramen för Landskapsarkitektprogrammet på Ultuna med syftet att genom arbetsplatsförlagd undervisning ge studenten en djupare förståelse för yrket och dess förutsättningar. Under praktiken tillämpar studenten kunskaper förvärvade från utbildningen och ges samtidigt utrymme att reflektera över landskapsarkitektens yrkesroll utifrån egna praktikerfarenheter. I seminarieform träffas studenterna och presenterar respektive praktikplats för varandra. Genom en skriftlig rapport beskriver studenten en för landskapsarkitektyrket typisk arbetsplats samt dess roll och uppgifter i samhället.
