Overview
Kursen behandlar teorier inom samhälls- och beteendevetenskap med särskilt fokus på teorier av relevans för socialt arbete. I kursen tränar sig studenten i att analysera olika sociala problem och social förändring med hjälp av begrepp och teorier, samt reflekterar över betydelsen av dessa teorier för socialt arbete som forskningsfält. Studenten tränar sig på att redogöra för och reflektera över möjliga teoretiska perspektiv utifrån valda sociala fenomen. Under kursen identifierar och motiverar studenterna parvis ett intresseområde inför kommande examensarbetet. Kursens undervisningsformer består av föreläsningar, lärarledda övningar samt seminarier.

150 hp inom socionomprogrammet (SGGEN) varav minst 120 hp godkänt från termin 1, 2, 3 och 4. Motsvarandebedömning kan göras.
