Kursen ger fördjupade kunskaper i teoretisk filosofi. Den består av tre delar: en litteraturkurs om 7.5 hp som studenten väljer själv från ett utbud av kurser, ett obligatoriskt litteraturseminarium om 7.5 hp, samt ett examensarbete om 15 hp. Del 1: Litteraturseminarium, 7.5 hp. Delkursen innehåller ett fördjupat studium av några centrala och inflytelserika uppsatser, eller en central och inflytelserik monografi i modern teoretisk filosofi. Del 2: Valbar kurs, 7.5 hp. Delkursen innehåller ett fördjupat studium av ett centralt problemområde inom teoretisk filosofi. Studenten väljer från en lista av alternativ. Varje termin ges undervisning på ett urval - normalt ej alla - av de valbara alternativen.
