Kursen innehåll fokuserar på psykoterapeutisk teori, utifrån fördjupningsområdet PDT och behandling av olika affektiva tillstånd. I undervisningen presenteras och fördjupas metoder och tillämpning för behandling av dessa tillstånd. Kursen utgör en fortsättning och fördjupning av föregående kurs. Studentens metakognitiva förmågor genom observation och reflektion kring egna personliga behov av professionell utveckling i den psykoterapeutiska behandlingsrelationen tas upp i kursen. Kursen bygger vidare på Psykoterapeutisk teori och metod 1 och studenten förväntas träna på fler tekniker och metoder med nya klienter för att bredda och fördjupa sina kunskaper och förmågor som psykoterapeuter.
