Kursen behandlar och ger fördjupade kunskaper i vetenskapsteori och teorier för socialt arbete samt relationen däremellan. Kursen behandlar inledningsvis centrala och för socialt arbete relevanta vetenskapsteoretiska frågeställningar. Vidare diskuteras relationen mellan de vetenskapsteoretiska utgångspunkterna och teori för socialt arbete.
