Thesis for Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management

In this course, students will independently identify and define a research question within the field of Industrial Engineering and Management, and plan and conduct a study based on scientific principles. Their work must be grounded in relevant theories, models, and methods within the subject. Through supervision and seminars, students will be given the opportunity to discuss the formulation of the research question, theoretical points of departure, choice of method, and data collection. Students must search for, collect, evaluate, and analyse relevant information and relate the results to previous research in the field. The final degree project must comprise a scientifically structured report in which the analysis, conclusions, and limitations of the study are presented and discussed. The work must also be presented and defended orally at a seminar, which includes serving as a peer reviewer of another degree project.
