The course introduces the student to events and its various designs. Event as a concept carry different meanings for different businesses, different visitor groups and different stakeholders. Events have global implications i. e. as they are often a reason to travel and thus become central to the tourism industry. Events are often a financial challenge which is dealt with in the course. The importance of events for tourism and other tourism companies is studied in perspective by strategic, tactical and operational considerations.
