Kursen är riktad mot handledning av studenter i verksamhetsförlagd utbildning inom lärarutbildning. Dess övergripande mål är att deltagarna utvecklar kunskaper om vad ett pedagogiskt handledarskap kan innebära. Genom litteraturstudier, skriftliga och muntliga uppgifter och diskussioner i seminarieform tematiseras områden såsom betydelsen av relationsskapande i läraryrket och för handledaruppdraget, samtalets roll i mötet med den lärarstuderande och bedömning av studenters professionsutveckling.
