Overview
Kursen syftar till att introducera såväl grundläggande som moderna begrepp inom statistisk inlärning utan träningsdata (oövervakad inlärning) med tillämpningar inom statistisk dataanalys. Centrala begrepp som gås igenom inkluderar likhetsmått, linjära och icke-linjära metoder för dimensionsreducering, centroid-, fördelnings- och täthetsbaserade metoder för klusteranalys, visualisering av högdimensionella data, hierarkiska metoder samt olika valideringsmetoder.

To qualify for the course, knowledge equivalent to Statistical analysis, 7,5 hp (MT4001), Probability theory II, 7,5 hp (MT5018), Programming techniques for mathematicians, 7,5 hp (DA2004) is required. English 6 or the equivalent.
