Upper Secondary School Programme: English

Prospective upper secondary school teachers are offered the following subject majors at Karlstad University: history, social science, religion, Swedish, English, Spanish, mathematics, biology, chemistry, science studies, physics, technology\*, music, and sport science\*. English can be combined with mathematics, biology, chemistry, science studies, Spanish, Swedish, history, religion, social science or sport science\*. The programme for teaching in upper secondary education is offered on campus and as net-based distance learning. Both forms of learning are fulltime and like campus students, distance students also have scheduled daytime teaching over the internet. They are also required to attend on-campus meetings in Karlstad three-four times per semester. \*Note that the majors sports science and technology are offered only on campus.
