Upper Secondary School Programme: Physical Education

Prospective upper secondary school teachers are offered the following subject majors at Karlstad University: history, social science, religion, Swedish, English, Spanish, mathematics, biology, chemistry, science studies, physics, technology\*, music, and sport science\*. Sport science can be combined with mathematics, biology, chemistry, science studies, English, Swedish, history or social science. The programme for teaching in upper secondary education is offered on campus and as net-based distance learning. Both forms of learning are fulltime and like campus students, distance students also have scheduled daytime teaching over the internet. They are also required to attend on-campus meetings in Karlstad three-four times per semester. \*Note that the majors sports science and technology are offered only on campus.
