Overview
Kursen behandlar hur städer styrs och utvecklas i samspel mellan olika aktörer, institutioner och övergripande samhällsprocesser som globalisering, nyliberalisering, individualisering. Kursen ger fördjupade kunskaper om aktuella policy- och forskningsfrågor inom diskursen om urban governance utifrån olika forskningsprojekt och teoretiska perspektiv. Under kursen problematiseras urban förändring i olika geografiska, politiska, ekonomiska och kulturella kontexter utifrån såväl informell som formell styrning. Kursen behandlar hur platser formas av politik och institutionella system, sociala rörelser och civilsamhället likväl som av näringsliv och ekonomiska processer.
