Overview
The course introduces the concepts and practices involved in use-oriented design. Students gain theoretical and practical knowledge on how to explore people’s use of artefacts in interactions in their everyday and working lives, including the importance of use-oriented studies in interaction design. Emphasis is on design as an integral part of the context of which the artefact is used for communication and interaction. Additionally, as stressed in the course, other disciplines are useful to enrich the analytical perspective to explore the use of artefacts in and for interactions.
