The audit function is an established monitoring and control function and today we encounter a complex set of different rules and norms within which the auditor works. We also see a number of different theoretical perspectives that explain the audit and the auditors' role and significance. In the course, all these aspects will be dealt and the course especially addresses: The background to the regulations and standards that govern the audit and the auditors as well as the organization of the auditors. Auditing in practice with regard to current standards. The audit and the auditors' role and function from different theoretical perspectives and at different levels.
