Overview
The course deals with teachers‘ assignments, focusing on the school‘s value base, including human rights and basic democratic values, issues related to identity and ethnicity in educational activities, and sustainable development. In the course, the student gets to participate in, review, and discuss current educational scientific research and its importance for teachers‘ assignments and activities. The course also deals with basic concepts and knowledge about the function of assessment in lower secondary school and how the assessment is affected by various factors such as the writings of the governing documents, teachers‘ and students‘ pre-understanding and expectations, and different subject traditions.
