Overview
Are you interested in exploring the diversity of life and understanding species relationships? This international Master's specialisation provides in-depth knowledge of biodiversity and systematics – from populations to species and macro-evolutionary patterns. The programme is a collaboration between universities in Sweden and Norway, with each institution offering courses in their areas of expertise. You will combine theoretical studies with practical components, including fieldwork and laboratory exercises, as well as online courses. The programme is flexible – you choose courses based on your interests and career goals. The second year is mainly devoted to a degree project, which can be carried out within the university's research groups or in collaboration with external partners. This programme is ideal if you aim to do research or practical work in biodiversity and its conservation. Our graduates have pursued careers in academia, governmental agencies, and industry. The language of instruction is English.
