The programme focuses on basic biological knowledge and how it is used to drive medical developments forward. The first part of the programme gives you an advanced biomedical base that builds upon your bachelor's studies. You then develop a personalised study profile through deeper exploration of one or more of Karolinska Institutet's research areas, by selecting elective courses, which are performed together with PhD students, and through the choice of research area(s) for your independent research projects.
