Overview
How do we turn complexity of our world described in terms of data and algorithms into insight you can see, explore, and experience? In this course, you will learn how modern visualization systems transform data and digital representations into interactive graphics – from classic 2D and 3D visualizations to immersive XR technologies (Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality). You will explore how visual perception and design principles shape effective visual representations, and how interaction enables users to navigate, filter, and reason about complex data. You will explore interactive visualizations using real-world datasets and modern tools, including support for XR devices. Application examples span data science, AI, gaming, and robotics, showing how visualization is used for game analytics and world design, robot perception and debugging, sensor data exploration, and human–robot interaction. The course culminates in a creative project where you design and implement your own visualization or XR experience.
